Biography

Priyam Dhani (PhD) is a Certified Emotional Intelligence Specialist and a PhD in Management from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh, India. Her research interests lie in the areas of Organizational Psychology particularly in emotional intelligence and personality psychology, Organisational Behaviour, and Job Performance. She has authored/ co-authored several book chapters and research articles. Her research in the area of emotional intelligence focuses on the relationship between emotional intelligence and personality traits, relationship between emotional intelligence and Job performance and the role of socio demographic factors on emotional Intelligence particularly in the Indian Context.

She is an MBA with specialization in Human Resource Management and Marketing from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India and a graduate in French & History from St. Bede’s College Shimla, India. She has Diplomas in Human Resource Development, Personnel Management & Labour Welfare. She has taken courses on Organizational Behaviour, Business Communication, and Project Management and taken Language Lab for B-Tech Students. She has co-organized a workshop with a module on Emotional Intelligence in 2015.

She has presented many papers at various international conferences like International Conference on Contemporary issues in Science, Engineering & Management (2017), International Conference on Paradigm Shift in Innovative Business Management (2016), International Conference on Science, Technology and Management (2016), International Conference on Dynamism and Contemporary Practices of Business Management (2015) and International HR Conference on Emotional Intelligence (2015).

She has participated in many workshops like Workshop on “Emotional Intelligence” (K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, 2015), “Turning point” (Holiday Home Shimla, 2014), “Tools and Techniques for Data Analysis in Management Research” (Jaypee University of Information Technology, 2013) and Co-Organised a workshop “Turning Point” with a module on Emotional Intelligence (Hotel Holiday Home, 2015).
